Event Navigation

Following a well-attended guided tour of Kilburn on 23rd  June, we warmly invite you to another cross-community walk, an opportunity to meet people of other faiths and none, and to hear stories of the area. We also welcome the new vicar of St Mary’s with All Souls Kilburn & St James West Hampstead (Sherriff Centre & Post Office), the Rev. Robert Thompson to NW6, experiencing many of the hidden delights, stories and fascinating people of Kilburn, guided by qualified tour guides from CTGA (Camden Tour Guide Association) all of whom live in the area. From a river or brook (Westbourne or Kilbourne), a Roman Main Road, a Priory, Wells, world renowned writers, musicians, artists and even spies. The former entertainment centre and major shopping centre of North West London, explore this fascinating multicultural area that has welcomed newcomers for over 200 years and offered hospitality and refreshment to passing visitors since the Middle Ages.  The hidden Maygrove Rd Peace Park, artist David Bomberg and composer John Tavener in the north of Kilburn, writers AA Milne and George Orwell and monuments to past entertainment in the former Kilburn Empire music hall and Maida Vale Picture House in the south.  Please do join us for a fun and interesting afternoon for a free guided walk that will be raising funds for good NW6 causes. The walk is free but we will collect donations for local charities. Book your place on Eventbrite  Enquiries to
